Registration to compete in the 2022 Student Angler Tournament Trail (SATT) involves a two part process.
In order to participate in the Minnesota Student Angler Tournament Trail (SATT) each angler will need to complete general registration by becoming a member of the Student Angler Federation (SAF). This requires an annual one-time $25.00 fee to cover the 2020 national dues to the SAF. It provides anglers with limited insurance coverage for eligible events and other memebership benefits. You can register individually or as a club on the SAF website.
Visit http://www.highschoolfishing.org and click on the Join Now! tab for more information. All SAF registrations must be completed before you can register for an event.
The event registration portion is intended to be the actual sign up for specific SATT fishing tournaments. Only anglers that have an active SAF membership number will be allowed to register for specific events. Separate registration periods will be open for each stop on the SATT. Generally this will be at least two weeks prior to the scheduled tournament. This process is where anglers will identify with a specific fishing partner and boat captain. The non-refundable $40.00 tournament fee per team ($20 per angler) is intended to ensure thoughtful registration for each event. Teams must complete the online registration form and may choose to either pay online via PayPal or pay by mailing in a check to the SATT administrator.
Order of registration will not be a factor in determining boat launch order for the tournament. Please submit accurate information so tournament organizers can minimize challenges related to determining who is actually participating in the event.
The amount of entries into specific tournament events may be limited due to factors including permitting and the capacity of nearby facilities such as boat launches and host sites. TBF/SAF national membership registration does not guarantee a team’s entry into all SATT events. The hard deadline for specific event registrations will be 48 hours prior to the rules meeting. The intent of this deadline is to ensure tournament organizers have ample time to complete the administrative functions necessary to host a quality event. No walk-up registrations will be accepted during the rules meeting the evening prior to the fishing event.
All boat captains are also required to participate in the Boat Captain General Registration at no cost.
